The places like old harbor are the original charms if the city.  This is one of the busiest harbors through you can see the ships coming in and out all the time. The east side of harbor includes pedestrian streets for shopping and restaurant bars. If you go outside in the evening then take a casual stroll around Blue Promenade which has been embedded into the ground.  The fish market is at the end of the harbor along with the farmer market in Cathedral.

The city has been selected from European capital in 2008. The Gothic architecture is a prime example of some special things that have been included in Stavanger Cathedral.
