Costa Blanca beach

Costa Blanca refers to the over 200 kilometres of coastline belonging to the Province of Alicante in Spain. The name “Costa Blanca” was devised as a promotional name used by BEA when they launched their air service between London and Valencia in 1957. Costa Blanca with its wonderful beaches attracts millions of tourists every year. In the north the costa blanca starts with Denia and Javea two wonderful towns at the bottom of a mountain. Close to here you can find a wonderful city Elche, named the palm tree capital of the world. In the south the costa blanca goes from Guardamar and Torrevieja down to Cartagena.

The Costablanca Spain is a very popular tourist destination, in fact it could well be one of the most well known tourist destinations in the world. This area borders the Mediterranean sea and has some fantastic and breathtaking beaches. This area has beautiful weather, just what you would expect from the typical Mediterranean climate. The summers are long and hot, while the winters are also quite dry. Summer is the most popular time for tourists to visit, however it is still a great location all year round. In order to plan your trip the first thing you need to do is to decide where you would like to visit. The bigger cities such as Alicante, Benidorm and Torrevieja all have active night lives. These large cities also have the benefit of theme parks, historical attractions and breathtaking beaches.

However, that is not to say that the smaller towns should be overlooked. Towns such as Denia and Altea are ideal places for you to relax and chill out because they are so quiet.

Where you decide to stay is very personal, there is no right or wrong answer. It is just something that you have to think about.

Travelling to and Around the Costa Blanca Spain

Most visitors to Costa Blanca fly in through Alicante airport. This is a very large international airport which has a number of discount airlines flying to it. There are many more flight choices available at this airport compared with many of the other smaller ones. In order to get the best deal you should book well in advance.

You should be willing to let go of a few luxuries during your flight so that you can get a lower fair. For example lots of the budget airlines do not offer any food, and will require you to check your bags back in for connecting flights. You should also consider flying off peak in order to save the most money possible.

When you arrive in the Costa Blanca, you will then need to decide how you will travel around the area. You may want to use public transport, or you could consider hiring a car. Spain has a very reliable and good public transport system, especially the trains. You can catch a train or bus from the airport to the city fairly easily. If you don’t want to do lots of travelling then you could probably use public transportation. Either way, you will want to get a map of Costa Blanca.

If you want to do a lot of travelling when you get to the area then you should consider hiring a car from the airport. You can rent a car fairly easily at the airport, or in the city. A car makes it much easier to travel around, you don’t need to rely on the public transportation timetables in order to get around. You can travel around whenever you like.
