You might think that Dubai is only modern skyscrapers and luxury hotels. But you could be proven wrong. “Do not judge the book by its cover” a wise man once said. And it’s completely true. There are hundreds of things that a tourist can do when visiting this astonishing oasis. Let’s see some of them.
Dubai is home of some of the most breath-taking beach lines. They combine crystal waters, soft sand and mild breeze. Possibly the most famous of them all – Jumeirah Beach should be high on everyone’s ‘must visit’ list. It is an amazing long piece of paradise that embraces in its beauty lots of hotels, private clubs and public access beaches. This door to complete comfort and relaxation takes its place in the exotic waters of the Arabian Gulf.
When the rest is over, it is time for action. Luckily, Dubai offers a variety of shopping malls and centres where one may find all his heart desires. Some of the pearls in the jewellery crown are Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates. And if you decide to come in January, make sure to visit the annual Dubai shopping festivals, where you can see all new goods and products from all around the globe. Also keep in mind that the merchants there like to barter, so you’ll have the chance to practice your bargaining skills.
Here’s something for the gents. Golf? In the desert? Who would’ve thought?!But again, the mirage becomes reality. The amazing oasis offers some of the best world-class golf courses where numerous championships are held. Lots of golf clubs are available, where passionate enthusiasts can practice their swing. Dubai is also famous with its two leading golf clubs – Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
Dinner in paradise
Dubai is not only famous for its luxury and first-class accommodation, but also for its exquisite culinary offerings. In this oasis of pleasure, you will find a great diversity of food from Lebanese, Chinese and Greek to Indian, Italian, American and many more. World-class restaurants are also present here such as the Blue Elephant, Vu’s, La Baie, Shabestan, Al Mahara, Focaccia, etc. And if you want to enjoy fresh steaks and seafood JW’s Steakhouse is the place for you.
Skiing in the desert
And if you are tired from all the sun and beaches, you can go to the mountain. But how? Simply by visiting one of the most astonishing attractions in Dubai – Ski Dubai. This special indoor ski resort gives you the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. And if you want just to play in the snow and make a snowman, Ski Dubai offers you real snow around the clock through the whole year. Isn’t that marvellous?
