There are a number of great ski resorts in France. Although it can be difficult to decide which resort you want to take your family to, I would recommend going to Les Gets in the Rhone Alps. The resort has been open for nearly 80 years.
I haven’t had a chance to visit it myself yet, but my friends have given me some great feedback from their trips to France. They report that the staff who run the resort are attentive and extremely helpful. One of the managers of the facility is named Dave. A friend who visited the resort said that Dave was one of the most helpful attendees he ever worked met at any ski resort he visited.
One friend I spoke with said that he took his family to Les Gets near the beginning of spring. He was worried that there wouldn’t be any snow during his trip. He was pleasantly surprised with the trip, which turned out to be one of the holidays in over a decade that he’d lived in France.
Almost everyone who has visited Les Gets has said that there are a number of great options for both skiers are snowboarders. There are small slopes for young children and diamond slopes for experienced skiers who want to test their abilities.
The operators do everything they can to make sure their resort has all the conveniences you need. There are excellent childcare facilities to take your children to while you hit the slopes or enjoy a night on the town with your friends.
A number of shops, bars and restaurants are available near the resort. Most people who visited the site said that they had lots of fun checking out the pubs, but the atmosphere wasn’t a crazy party atmosphere.
The resort is fairly small, so it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, visitors have said that it is efficiently run and they didn’t have to wait too long in queue. That being said, many visitors said that they had a better experience visiting the resort during the offseason when there were fewer other visitors. You might want to consider planning your trip in March when there were other people on the slopes.
There are a number of places to visit Les Gets on your trip through France. Check out some of the great hotels and other accommodations in the area. Hotel A La Bonne Franquette, Hotel Regina and Hotel le Labrador are considered some of the best places to visit on your trip to Les Gets. There are a number of accommodations for everyone, regardless of their budget.
I haven’t been snowboarding for a few years, but I would like to try to go again when I visit France next year. I would like to take my friends up on their advice to visit the ski resort in Les Gets.
