Of course there are top vacation destination up and down both coasts but if you are to say what states provides you with a little bit of everything it has to be North Carolina. Let’s start with the triad area which consists of Greensboro, Raleigh, and Winston Salem. During almost any time of year in this area you can be treated to the best college sports has to offer from University of North Carolina and Duke to Wake Forest you are in prime college basketball country. That is not all the area has to offer with beautiful weather and scenery not to mention one of the fastest growing areas for business especially technology in the United States.
The one area of North Carolina much overlooked is the Western border of North Carolina. This provides some of the best hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping in the United States where you can explore the beautiful Carolina Mountains for days. The area is a relatively cheap getaway for most and can entertain everyone from the RV camper to the survivalist. The wilderness of Western North Carolina just shows the versatility of the entire state of North Carolina.
Of course you cannot mention North Carolina without mentioning the many beaches that are available up and down the cost from Wilmington to Myrtle Beach. While most of Myrtle Beach is in South Carolina the more private beaches of North Myrtle are in the state of North Carolina. For many families this is the preferred way to go to escape the party atmosphere of Downtown Myrtle Beach and everything that goes with it. One of the most popular private beaches in a place I know very well which is Holden Beach. It is a private and quiet upscale beach that hosts everyone from multi-millionaire celebrities such as Tom Cruise who owns a home there to the average family as housing is as affordable as it comes for one week rentals.
As you can see with the basic rundowns I gave here North Carolina gives a plethora of options for travelers of all kinds from the major cities such as Charlotte to the mountains of Western Carolina clear over to Holden Beach and the many private resorts of North Myrtle Beach. North Carolina provides a little of everything for a little of everyone.
