Kenya is a country in East Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the northeast, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest, with the Indian Ocean running along the southeast border. The country is named after Mount Kenya, a very significant landmark and the second among the highest mountain peaks of Africa and both were originally usually pronounced in English although the native pronunciation and the one intended by the original transcription Kenia was.

A journey in Africa is never complete without visiting Kenya. It’s a country with rich cultures, natural heritage and environments. A tour around Kenya and sleeping in the bush surrounded by African wildlife is an experience worth a try.

Kenya’s coast is rich of Arabic culture and architecture, fine white sand beaches dotted by hotels, lodges offering plenty of places to relax and enjoy the hospitality of the coastal people. There are plenty of adjacent islands to visit and trekking tours in the mangrove forests. A major marine park and conservation area have been established to preserve the endangered coastal eco-system.

A visit to the Masai Mara during the months of July and October gives you the opportunity to view the great migration of the wildebeests and zebras across the Mara River attracting numerous predators like the lions, leopards and hyenas that lay in wait on the track. The African Elephant is also an attraction in major national parks and reserves. There is a lot of birds to watch in Kakamega forest one of the only remaining protected tropical forests. The pink flamingos in Lake Nakuru and Bogoria in rift valley, the great escarpments of rift valley, Mountain climbing in Mt Kenya and Mt Kilimanjaro and others will make your tour exciting.

Kenya has a combination of most habitats from the cold and wet to the arid and dry in the north of Kenya. Kenya’s capital city is Nairobi and a major business hub in East and central Africa. It hosts The UN offices and has a good diplomatic relations with the western countries. Being a central hub for business in Africa, it’s well connected by air to other countries and major airports in the world.
